Designers working with Project Managers
If your organisation has designers and project managers working together there are some simple ways to enhance your workflow.
This also works really well if your designer is creating files that are too large to email to the project manager.
Let's assume that the designer does the creative stuff and the project manager is responsible for managing proofs with the reviewers.
Option A. Designer creates a new proof
Option A is when the designer needs to see comments and decisions, but where the project manager needs to be the proof owner. The designer creates the proof, but makes the project manager the "owner":

Create New Proof - the designer creates a new proof in ProofHQ but makes the project manager the "owner". If the project manager needs to check the proof before other people see it, the designer should create the proof without adding any people. The designer will automatically be an "Author" so can see comments, reply to comments, action comments and create a new version of the proof for the project manager. The project manager can change this role at any time.

Share Proof - the project manager reviews the proof and then shares the proof with the client.

New Proof Email - the client receives an email with a "one-click" link to the proof.

Review Proof - the client reviews the proof, adds comments and makes a decision.
Activity Summary Email - the project manager receives an email with a summary of the client's review.

Change Request - the project manager lets the designer know about the change requests. This can be done using the Print Comments function.

New Version (if required) - the designer or project manager amends the file and uploads it to ProofHQ as a New Version. If the designer has a role of "Author" and uploads a new version, the project manager will automatically be the owner of the new version.
The process is repeated until the proof is approved
Option B. Designer just uploads file
Option B is for when designers do not need to be involved in the review process. Everything is managed by the project manager who creates the proof and adds the reviewers.
With this option the designer uses the Upload Media function in ProofHQ.

Create New Proof - The project manager receives the file and can create a proof from the file with just one click. The designer is not added to the proof and cannot see comments or decisions.

Review Proof - the client reviews the proof, adds comments and makes a decision.
